Composting is a natural process of decomposition and recycling of organic wastes. Once decomposed, the resulting material makes an excellent addition to soil in flower and vegetable gardens or general use around the yard.
As an effort to minimize waste, composting would extend the estimated life span of the landfill considerably. This is critical because land space is very limited. Through the CMTS this resource will be preserved for more productive uses.
